The Adamson Collection Trust are sad to announce that John Timlin died on the morning of 11th September, 2020, aged 90.

He was Edward Adamson’s collaborator and partner after they met in 1953. Adamson (1911–1994) was the artist who was instrumental

in the development of the art studio and art therapy in the UK and the founder of the Adamson Collection. After Adamson’s death, John continued to promote the collection which is now recognised as an important British collection of asylum art.
